So today I passed out on one of my sister and brother-in-laws very comfortable couches. Apparently my eldest nephew did not want me to sleep (the second eldest could have conspired with him, I don't know, since I was fast asleep - but they're 2 and 1 and a half, so conspiring would be very, very cute if they had), so he came over to the couch - I hear now that this was at the suggestion of his mother, my sister - and planted a hard kiss on my cheek. This woke me up immediately, but I wasn't upset. I laughed with my siblings and went back to sleep. (are you kidding me? I was tired! *grin*) He did it again, too, that time kissing me on the cheek and the forehead, but I still rolled over and went back to sleep.

Of course I fell asleep with wet hair, so when I woke up it was all crazy. =) Crazy hair and a headache. Why, oh why, do my sister and brother-in-law not have a coffeemaker? Crazy people who do not like coffee.

Oh, how adorable! Caden and Kindred are now opening presents from each other! And Kindred is being the typical younger kid wanting to do everything Caden is doing. "What'd you get?" Both boys: "Dee-Vee-Dee" (they both hold every vowel in DVD longer than is necessary, which is awfully cute).

It's a big family holiday, so I've taken several pictures of the nephews. I only didn't get the youngest one this time, for he was either eating or sleeping every time I had the camera out. Of course, he's only about 8 weeks old, so that's not unusual. =)

Showing off the cutest little boys in my world . . . )

I wasn't even supposed to be home this afternoon, but I realized (duh, me) that I had to WRAP the gift for tonight's work party. So I came home, laughed pretty hard at some comments (many thanks to [info]sinadino and [info]elfcat255) and went to check my sister-in-law's blog. My nephews are too cute not to share pictures. These are the ones up north, not the ones who live an hour south of me. *does little happy dance* My brother and sister-in-law and the northern nephews will be here a week from Thursday! Whee! =D ANYway, one with the show . . .

Cuteness overload, click at your own risk. )

Okay, last picture post for today, honest. Meh, I have to take out my contacts and take some migraine medicine before my head explodes. But one last post, must show off nephews . . . =)

Okay, so I may cave and update later with more pictures of nephews, but right now I'm waiting for dinner to be ready, fighting a headache, ignoring my stomach growling, and decided I wanted to get pictures with my newest nephew. He's so cute! But he just woke up, so he wasn't exactly the happiest camper. So, I share 'cause I'm the Aunt T. *g*

I adore Halloween! We only went to six houses and only three of them actually had candy for him, but he's two. He doesn't need a lot of candy. =) Besides, it was watching how much fun he had that counts. "Want eat this now" was frequently coming out of his mouth, but his grandmother told him he could only have candy after dinner. We barely made it back to the house. But anyway, he looked adorable dressed up as Bob the Builder and everyone who saw him fussed over him like they'd never seen a little kid before. *g* Their next door neighbor thought I was his mom! I explained that his mother is my sister, and she just had a baby. We took him out in the wagon - my brother-in-law's mother and I - and she filmed the whole thing. I can't wait to see that! My little nephew's growing up! His first time Trick-or-Treating! =D Anyway, I took a few pictures myself, and I thought I'd share 'cause I'm one of those aunts who loves to show off her nephews.

Oh, and just a funny story. I went to Best Buy tonight because it's on the way home from my sister's house. I ended up buying one dvd, so I go to check out and the cashier looks at me and asks what I'm studying to be. I must have given him an odd look because he further explained with, "Navy, Air Force, Marines?" It took a lot for me not to laugh at that point. I calmly told him it was my Halloween costume, but it is Air Force. He seemed embarrassed. I totally could have played that off. "Oh, yeah, I'm going to be the Air Force, yada, yada, yada," but I don't know if I'm any good off the cuff like that, you know? Besides, I would have had to tell him eventually. That's just the way I am.

Can we get candy? Yes, we can! )

So Sam Day has finally arrived, as I have decided to dub it. =) Halloween is always a lot of fun. I'm leaving soon to go Trick-or-Treating with my nephew. I'm so excited! Anyway, I got dressed up when we went out to lunch with my grandmother because I wasn't sure how much time I'd have before I would have to leave for my sister's house. So my dad took some pictures of me, 'cause I know there have been people asking to see. I didn't go all out and do the hair or anything (a year ago I would have, but I'm broke and really like the color of my hair at the moment, so decided to leave it), but I did the outfit and dog tags. I love my jacket!

Today wasn't half bad. Actually, it was pretty good. =) New cell phone, new phone number, new nephew . . . yup, I said new nephew. It was a complete surprise he came so quickly. So quickly my sister didn't even have time for an epidural. They thought it would take longer, so I guess the guy with the big needle took his sweet old time. Now she's very sore, poor thing. When she said she wanted drugs, she meant it, people! Oh well, can't change it now, and they have a brand new baby boy to show for it. Besides, they said it didn't take too much pushing. He's adorable. Brody is only 7 pounds, 4 ounces, unlike his big brother, who was somewhere in the nine pound range, I think. And my sister is a teeny tiny woman. Let's hope Brody puts on some muscle as he grows so that Caden doesn't think he has a punching bag to play with. I'd like to think my first nephew wouldn't do anything of the sort, but he has been the center of attention for almost two and a half years now . . . and my brother's firstborn was really jealous when Elias came along, pinching the baby and things like that. *sigh* I want a niece! Four nephews . . . it's good news, really it is. =) Anyway, off to work!

WHY DOESN'T SOUTHWEST AIRLINES LET YOU PICK YOUR OWN DAMN SEAT?? Okay, done with complaining . . .

Interview - good, I think. She's going to call me tomorrow. I don't know about a 6 to 3 Saturday shift, though . . . but I said I preferred that over a 3-11 Sunday shift. Well, if there's any possibility of getting Monday to be my day off, I want a semi-weekend so that I can visit my friends who live out of state, you know? We'll see . . . if she offers me the job, I have a few more questions, some of them including sick time and vacations. But hey, if I get offered the job, I'll probably take it. It's been almost two months since I've gotten a paycheck, and that's something I know I need in order to survive. =)

My mother dragged me all over God's green creation today. Oh well. At least she bought me lunch and waited for me at the Post Office while I mailed something to [info]hazydestiny. And I suppose I didn't have anything better to do.

As of tomorrow, I will be unable to go online for three days. I have finally decided to leave my laptop here while I travel to Philly to meet my new nephew, Elias. My sister and I are flying out tomorrow morning, on Southwest, hence my earlier rant. I'm claustrophobic in airplanes, which is why I like to choose my seat. My sister's response? "Well, we just have to get there super early." Uh-huh. We're already leaving this house at 6 fracking AM, and I know my sister. She's late for absolutely EVERYTHING. Well, if we don't get to sit together, it's not the end of the world, right? I love my sister, but she should have told me before we bought the tickets that Southwest doesn't let you choose your own seats until you get to the airport.

Anyway, that's it for today. I'm going to go through internet withdrawal . . . oh well, it'll only be three days. =)

Elias Lewis. My third nephew. My brother and sister-in-law's second son. My sister and her husband are expecting their second son, he's due the beginning of November. His name will be Brody Allen Wilson (my sister doesn't keep the name a secret until the kid is born). If I spelled Elias' name wrong, I'll edit the entry later. =) I haven't talked to my brother or sister-in-law yet. I received a call from my father at 2 am telling me of Elias' birth. I know, my brother and his wife are odd. Their first son's name is Kindred Alan. But it works for them, and I think the names are awfully cute, even if it does mean they'll be picked on later in life - of course, who's NOT picked on in school? Anyway, just thought I'd share!! =)

I still need to call my wonderful cousin . . . it will come soon, hopefully tonight. I didn't talk to many people this weekend except those I saw, like my parents, my sister, my friend Katy, and my grandparents. My nephew Caden is getting so big, and he's talking now, too - a little. He still calls me E-E, but I think it's cute. =) Oh, and I talked to Ed, too, even though I didn't see him, unfortunately. We were supposed to get together, but he was involved in a terrible car accident Saturday night. He's okay, but his car is not.

So the weekend I had been looking forward to for a long time . . . it's over already. Katy and I had a great time, but it went far too fast. We swam a lot, both in my parents' new pool and in the ocean (I know, shocker of shockers, I went in the ocean!). But it was mostly writing for us. Just relaxing, which I desperately needed.
